Broadband Business Alliance

The Broadband Business Alliance Limited Partnership (BBALP) has brought high speed broadband services to the un-served NWT communities. Installation of was completed in spring 2007 and local service providers offer wireless Internet connections to subscribers.

Through satellite-based connectivity remote NWT communities now have access to improved information, education, healthcare, business and banking services. Financed under an agreement with Industry Canada, BBALP contracted SSI Micro to install the equipment and to hire and train service providers within each community. The General Partner responsible for the operation of BBALP is Falcon Communications Group Ltd.

The BBALP includes Denendeh Investments Inc. (DII), Tetlit Gwich’in Council, Deline Land Corporation, Dehcho Economic Corporation, Tlicho Investment Corporation and Akaitcho Regional Investment Corporation.
