Darrell K. Beaulieu

Darrell Beaulieu was appointed president and CEO of Denendeh Investments Inc. (DII) by the Board of Directors in October 2005. DII is the operating arm of Denendeh Development Corporation located in the City of Yellowknife, the capital of the Northwest Territories.

He was a past Director and President of Deton’Cho Corporation from 1990 to 2000 and served as CEO from 1997 to 2002. He was also President and Director of Denendeh Development Corporation from 1995-1997 and served on the Board of directors of Northland Utilities Enterprises Limited, Northland Utilities (NWT) Ltd. and Northland Utilities (Yellowknife Limited from 1995-1998. Mr. Beaulieu was also a founding Director and served as President of Deton’Cho Diamonds Inc. (an Aboriginal cutting and polishing factory established in Ndilo) from1998 to 2002.

He is also the owner of Taidene Corporation based in Ndilo, providing medical services to the mining industry in partnership with EMS Taidene Incorporated.

From 1998 to 1997, Mr. Beaulieu served two years as Councillor and the eight years as one of the two Chiefs of the Yellowknives Dene First Nation. He also served again as Chief for one more term from 2002 to 2005. Prior to 1988, Mr. Beaulieu was employed/self-employed in various aspects of mineral exploration in the NWT. Mr. Beaulieu was Co-Chair of the Mine Training Committee from 1996-2004. He also served on the NWT-Nunavut Chamber of Mines from 1998-2001.

Since October 1998 and 2001 respectively, Mr. Beaulieu has been a Director of the Business Credit Corporation and a Director of the NWT Development Corporation which has since been amalgamated into a new Crown Corporation now know as the Northwest Territories Business Development and Investment Corporation. He currently serves as Chair.

Mr. Beaulieu resides in the Yellowknives Dene First Nation community of Ndilo with his wife Cecilia and their three sons and granddaughter.
