Denendeh Development Corporation

Denendeh Development Corporation was established in 1982 as a not-for-profit Corporation and over the years it built up a diverse portfolio of investments. In order to provide greater opportunities for growth, in 2000 the Chiefs of Denendeh approved a new investment structure that resulted in the creation of Denendeh Investments Limited Partnership (DILP) and its general partner Denendeh Investments Inc. (DII)

Profit-focused investments are now held within DILP and managed by DII. Ventures with primarily a social, artistic and cultural focus remain within DDC. Currently DDC manages Arrowmakers Traditional Fine Art Gallery and the NWT Métis-Dene Development Fund.

DDC also organizes and presents the Annual NWT Aboriginal Business Conference. The NWT Business Aboriginal Conference is planned for October 2008.

DDC was instrumental in the creation of the Northern Aboriginal Business Association, founded in October 2007.
